How did 19-81 Brewing Co. start?
19-81 Brewing Co. was founded in 2017 as the Cayman Islands' first independent craft brewery, born from a simple question asked on a boat off Seven Mile Beach: why didn't Cayman have one? The name comes from the islands' nautical coordinates — 19°N, 81°W.
We launched with three flagship brews — Cayman Blonde, Island Session and our Tropical IPA — and have since grown the full range of Cayman beer and cider to include Ridgefield Pils, Apple Cider, Guava Cider and a rotating cast of taproom exclusives. Everything is brewed fresh on island, with passion, since 2017.
Where can you buy 19-81 beer?
You can drink it fresh at our taproom at 273 Dorcy Drive in George Town, or buy it at Jacques Scott liquor stores and supermarkets across Grand Cayman. Plenty of bars and restaurants pour it on tap too.
